This is page 2 of some of the things I've found in 2000.

April was a fair month for coin finds, this 1916 Buffalo Nickel was found at a farmhouse that I have searched a few times with a friend of mine. One of my articles was written about the site. The nickel was one of only four coins found in about a 3 hour hunt. The other coins were badly corroded, an Indian Head cent and 3 wheat cents.

Another coin found in a yard that I've searched a lot, this one was deep, about 8 to 10 inches. It was a broken signal in one direction, but repeatable in the other direction. It was about a +70 on the VDI readings.
There was a nail in the vacinity, so that could account for the broken reading in one direction.

Take a look at the detail on this 1942d Mercury dime!! This one was also found at a site I've detected before.
I've been digging some of those "iffy" signals and have been rewarded with the coins shown above.
I have dug a lot more trash, but I think its worth it!!
